Acknowledging parenthood at the maternity clinic
If the parents are not married, the child's other parent has to be confirmed by acknowledgement. This can easily be done during pregnancy at the maternity clinic, so that everything is in order straight after the birth.
You will need
- Valid proof of identity for both parents
- A booked appointment at the maternity clinic
- An interpreter if needed, if you have no common language
