Chilli is a striking, fiery plant that grows well in a pot. Because of the long growing season, it is sown early.

• Chilli seeds
• Seed compost
• Pots
• Grow light
• Fertiliser

Steps

1. Sow early

   Sow in January–March, as chillies grow slowly.

2. Give warmth and light

3. Prick out

4. Pot on

5. Move outdoors in summer

6. Water and feed

7. Harvest
