Defrosting the fridge
A fridge and freezer work most efficiently when the frost is not allowed to build up. It is worth defrosting and cleaning them regularly.

- Cool box or cool bag and ice packs
- Towels and a bucket
- Warm water and washing-up liquid
- Microfibre cloth
- Baking soda for removing odours
Steps
Choose the timing
Defrost when the freezer is as empty as possible, for example before a shopping day. In winter, you can keep food on the balcony or outside.
Empty and switch off
Protect the floor
Speed up the thawing
Wash the surfaces
Clean the seals and the drain channel
