Flute: your first pieces

Your first flute pieces are played in the middle register, where a tone comes most easily.

You will need

• Your instrument
• Sheet music, tabs or an app
• Metronome

Steps

1. Choose a piece

   Choose an easy melody that uses the notes G, A, B, C and D.

2. Learn the notes

3. Mark your breaths

4. Play slowly

5. Play long notes beautifully

6. Increase the tempo

7. Play with accompaniment
